SilverDOM is an attempt to rethink where the computer industry has been heading for the past half-century.
- Applications are becoming insanely bloat and complex without significantly increasing in functionality.
- Using nowadays applications is just as much of a headache as it was 40 years ago.
- The power of computers grows, but the programs performance often slows down.
In this project, We will try to redesign:
- the metaphor of human-computer interaction
- the internal structure of the computing environment that programmers interact with
Initially it will be a simple prototype, which we plan to turn into a working integrated desktop/mobile environment and then into a standalone operating system.
